Wanda Maloney
Wanda Maloney is widely recognized for her expertise in corridor management planning, visitor experience assessments, traveler profiles and preferences, program policy development, and designation support. Her work has helped communities across the country strengthen their sense of place, tell their stories, and deliver rewarding experiences to travelers.
In 2005, Wanda founded Corridor Solutions to help communities plan, manage, and sustain visitor-focused programs. Her clients include scenic byway organizations, state programs, local governments, and nonprofits. A thought leader in the byway community, Wanda has developed widely used tools and training models to help stakeholders deliver high-quality visitor experiences. Her methodology for Visitor Experience Assessments is now a core component of Corridor Solutions’ planning work. She has conducted extensive research into byway traveler demographics and preferences, helping communities align their experiences with the needs and interests of visitors.
A native of Baton Rouge, LA, Wanda now lives in Winston-Salem, NC, where the Piedmont meets the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Having lived in places with such rich and distinct cultural traditions has shaped her appreciation for the stories, landscapes, and identities that make each community unique – an appreciation that’s at the heart of her work.
